8 21 08 while tropical storm fay was giving the daytona beach fl. area high waves, wind and rain, a couple staying in a hotel near by had a catastrophy in the ocean waves. the woman from new york drowned and her husband was taken to the hospital. location is at the oak ridge approach to the ocean, about 2 blocks south of the main st. pier and the lifeguard station
