why is Wlmart still raising prices on certain items if the low Gas prices?

In looking at yard goods previously listed at $1.00 a yard for the last 3 years all of a sudden it is $1.50 per yard. Why is it being raised now with the much lower Gasoline prices? Are we as customers being taken advantage off with this current economy? I am talking about the Beville/Nova Store in Daytona Beach (my neighborhood store)
